The Ubiquiti Networks PICOM2-HP PicoStation M2 HP Indoor/Outdoor AirMAX BaseStation features a compact form factor that can be conveniently deployed in indoor or outdoor environments to provide wireless connectivity. It can be configured as an access point to deliver 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi signals or as a base station to utilize airMAX technology, which is built on the TDMA protocol. With airMAX technology, the PicoStation utilizes a "time slot" method that eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency.
Ubiquiti Networks has armed the PicoStation M2 HP with a 5 dBi antenna that delivers data at a rate of up to 100 Mbps and enables distances of up to 1,640.4' outdoors or 656.2' indoors. It comes with a 10/100 Ethernet port as well as 32MB of SDRAM along with 8MB of flash. For convenience, PoE support lets you mount it where a power socket is not readily available. Additionally, Ubiquiti Networks includes a mounting kit so you can quickly install the PicoStation M2 HP to a wall or pole.
